It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week – arriving in the dead of an early morning – is an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 with all of its lights on as it comes to the gate at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
American Airlines operate a fleet of 260 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with orders for 44 more still on the books.
With the Boeing 737s going into the fleet, the reductions will felt in the MD-80 fleet – with the remainder of the MD-80 fleet to exit the fleet in 2017.
Photographers note: For those of you who think getting this photo is easy… here’s the answer. It isn’t in the least – mainly due to timing the strobes going off and the shutter going off at exactly the same moment.
Or to put it another way: Here’s just some of the pictures I too to get to that photo..
More airplane art next week!
