Emirates continues its march of increasing capacity to destinations with several more routes getting a second daily service, and one service getting an A380 upgrade.

Let’s get onto the changes.

Firstly, Dubai to Los Angeles will gain a second daily service with EK217/EK218 joining the long haul operation with an Airbus A380 from the 1st July 2016.

The combined operation looks like this:

Dubai to Los Angeles

EK215 DEPART DXB 08:55 ARRIVE LAX 13:55
EK217 DEPART DXB 15:00 ARRIVE LAX 20:00

Los Angeles to Dubai

EK216 DEPART LAX 16:45 ARRIVE DXB 19:35+1
EK218 DEPART LAX 22:30 ARRIVE DXB 01:30+2

Commences 1st July 2016
Operates Daily
Booked Equipment: Airbus A380
Data: Airlineroute

The timings should provide reasonable connections though to the Asia and beyond with Emirates long haul network.

Meanwhile for passengers in Switzerland and the Rhône-Alpes region who wish to connect with the world, Emirates is doubling its daily frequency between Dubai and Geneva.

EK083/084 joins the network providing a late night departure from Geneva to connect with the morning bank of connections at Dubai with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER.

Dubai to Geneva

EK089 DEPART DXB 08:30 ARRIVE GVA 13:15
EK083 DEPART  DXB 14:55 ARRIVE GVA 19:50

Geneva to Dubai

EK090 DEPART GVA 15:15 ARRIVE DXB 23:45
EK084 DEPART GVA 21:45 ARRIVE DXB 06:05+1

Commences 1st June 2016
Operates Daily
Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER.
Data: Airlineroute

For Emirates, connectivity had always been the name of the game. By adding more seats between their hub cities and more frequencies, they can capture more customers through their hub at Dubai.

With 489 extra seats a day to fill between Dubai and Los Angeles, and 360 seats a day between Dubai and Geneva, Emirates will be hoping these seats are all filled.
