If you’re rich, or a billionaire hell-bent on becoming a millionaire – then it’s time to set up an airline.
Airbus have released their price list for 2016. Expect eye-watering prices for these new planes… if you’re paying out of your own pocket.
Want an Airbus A350-900? That’ll be US$308.1 million please… Yes, we accept cash. Pocket change if you’re waiting for this weeks Powerball… – Image, Airbus.
If you’re a bank or a leasing company, the money you need is behind the sofa.
Want an A318 instead? Cute little jet? A mere snip at US$75.1 million. Image, Economy Class and Beyond.
So let’s have a look. Prices are in Millions of US$ (which of course, we all have in our bank accounts):

Of course, prices are subject to many other things such as engines, design wegihts and how far you customise your aircraft.
There’s probably discount for quantities too. Because, I doubt any airline/leasing company pays the full price for an aircraft (especilly when airlines and leasing companies order 50 at a time)..
None the less, if you ever fancied playing Airline CEO, these are just he prices for the frames alone – let alone options, fitting, fuel, crews, safety cases…. To name but a few costs.
Or as I stated at the beginning of the article – if you’re a billionaire, and want to sink to become a millionaire, step right up!
On the plus side, you’ll have some nice planes to play with when the billions are gone…

I was going to flip for the A380 freighter as a party plane but Airbus just won’t build one for me!
