The two class aircraft will operate on the following routes from March onwards:
- From 3rd March 2016 between New York JFK and Barcelona
- From 3rd March 2016 between New York JFK and Paris Charles De Gaulle, operating on flight pair AA044/AA045
- From 27th March 2016 between Dallas Forth-Worth and London Heathrow on flight pair AA080/081
- From 5th May 2016 between New York JFK and Rome

There is good news and bad news with these aircraft… depending what travel class you are sat in.
- Business Class will feature a reverse herringbone seating in a comfortable 1-2-1 formation
- Main Cabin Extra Seating – an improvement on existing Boeing 777-200s in 3-3-3 formation with more leg room.
- Main Cabin (Economy Class) seating will be shrunk to 3-4-3 formation… making it less than comfortable down the back of the plane with 17″ seat width (as is the fashion with carriers who operate Boeing 777s these days).
At least there is power (both USB and Mains Power) at each seat, and WiFi is offered on board. Note that these refitted aircraft do not have first class aboard.
As usual, for those of you who have flights booked aboard these changes – now would be a good time check your seat assignments.

That’s the width of the seat, not its seat pitch (legroom). Seat pitch is 31-32 inches.

Sorry about that. 17″ is the seat width, not its pitch.
