Brussels Airport to reopen to limited flights

02/04/2016 by Kevincm

It’s been a while, but the good news is that Brussels Airport (Zaventem) is to re-open to traffic on Sunday.

The airport has put a new site up at http://www.brusselsairport2203.be/en/ detailing departure and arrival procedures.

Departing Passengers will be required to arrive by car or taxi, inspected. After proceeding to the next point, ticketed passengers then will be able to head to security and gates.

Passengers heading to destinations in the Schengen zone will depart from the A Gates, whilst Non Schengen flights will leave from T Gates.

Non-ticketed persons will not be permitted to access the terminal and gate areas.

For now, Brussels Airport is accessible by Car or Taxi. No buses or train services are permitted to operate to/from the airport.

Brussels Airlines will re-commence services, starting with the following European services

  • SN1795 operating to Turin  SN1796 to Brussels

The following international services will recommence on the 3rd April:

  • SN1205 operating from Conakry and Dakar to Brussels

Full details at https://www.brusselsairlines.com/en-be/misc/AlertMessageDetail.aspx including planned operation in future days.

More services will move back to Brussels Airport over time.

Perhaps the nicest sentiment about the move back to Brussels Airport is this:
