It’s time for another Snapshot – and it’s featuring one of my regular hotels in Chicago – The Crowne Plaza O’Hare.
Yes, it’s a regular propety stop for me, mainly becasue – it’s reasonablly well priced, and convient to where I need to go next (yes, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare).
And getting the Hyatt Regency on the rates I use can be a “challenge”.
So, the outside. It’s a file photo as I’ve shot this hotel *lots* of times.
Paperwork and Reception: Handled quickly and efficiently. Offer of points, a drink at a bar or something to take upstairs was offered. Points of course (I am shockingly low on IHG points, it’s getting actually rather worrying when I need to make redemptions).
Towards the business centre and restaurant.
Gift shop and towards reception.
The Room
Not a lot has changed. I got a King sized bed at the end of the corridor. Whilst that’s good as you’re away from the noise, it’s a long hike with the amount of luggage I tote around…
Nice enough bed, and it’s good for a good nights sleep – the main thing when you’re using a hotel as a crash-pad between locations.
Air conditioning seemed to controllable – as opposed to rattling all night (good when you’ve been travelling for hours on end).
Tea and coffee facilities were available too
The bathroom was of a reasonable size – large enough to swing a cat around in comfort
Check-out: Check out and other formalities were handled withvery few issues, and I was on my way to my next set of digs at speed.
