Garuda Indonesia is set to grow its fleet with the airline signing with Airbus for 14 A330neos
Garuda Indonesia have signed for 14 A330neo-900’s for the airline to growth and expansion by using them for medium and long haul network work.
These A330neo’s will replace the an existing order for even A330-300s.
Garuda will be getting their new A330neo-900s form 2019 onwards.
Arif Wibowo, CEO of Garuda Indonesia is happy with the A330neos joining the fleet.
“The A330neo represents a more-efficient future for Garuda Indonesia. This order restructuring is believed to support our continued commitment to deliver the most modern, comfortable and excellent air travel service to all customers as well as to strengthen the sustained positive growth and business expansion of the company.
Furthermore, we are confident that this latest technology aircraft will support us to compete better in the industry.:
So with the A330neo’s coming in 2019, it gives Garuda time to prepare the network for them, whilst putting off delivery of aircraft for a year or so. In return, Airbus gets a bigger order in its books.
