The new destination will have two routes to serve it to begin with – with daily service between Luxembourg and London Stansted, and a five-times weekly service between Luxembourg and Porto.
Both routes will commence on the 1st September.
Lead in prices start at €19.99 between Luxembourg and London Stansted, and €24.99 between Luxembourg and Porto.
Ryanair is hoping to fill the seats, with aim of 200,000 passengers per year.
There’s plenty of competition on the Luxembourg to London route, with British Airways operating to London Heathrow, Easyjet to London Gatwick and LuxAir (the national carrier) operating to London City Airport.
Between Luxembourg and Porto, the route is contested by TAP Portugal, EasyJet and Luxair.
As a result, Ryanair has chosen some popular routes to run services on – and hopefully gain market share on these routes.
As a result, there’s plenty of competition on the routes – and it gives customers plenty of choice from budget carriers to full service carriers to centre to centre carriers.

Interesting! Now if they would just do LUX-VIE I would be a happy camper as I’m in VIE often for work and have family near LUX. LX prices are always ridiculous and the other options are Eurowings to CGN which involves a longer drive.
