It’s been some time coming, but Swiss have finally have had their first Bombardier CSeries delivered to their home of Zürich Airport.

The aircraft will be used in Swiss International Airlines short and mid-haul operations from the 15th July 2016, with a flight booked for it between Zürich Airport and Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport.
The first aircraft (HB-JBA …. or as Swiss likes to call it “Just Being Awesome”), arrived at Zürich Airport, where it made a low pass to its waiting followers.

In addition, the Swiss Bombardier CS100 was greeted by a Lockheed Super Constellation, which joined it for a flypast.

Swiss will be using their new CS100 intensively, with operations planned for Manchester, Prague and Budapest the day after the initial flight to Paris.
Swiss will receive a fleet of 30 CSeries aircraft – split between the CS100 and the larger CS300 variant.
And Swiss – like Bombardier will be hoping for a smooth entry into service of the CSeries.
