All Nippon Airways continues its painting of its fleet into droids from Star Wars with the announcement of a new jet at Star Wars Celebration Europe – the C-3PO Jet.

Here’s some renders of how it will look in flight.
Renders of the C-3PO jet. However, there are no deserts of this colour in Japan. On the other hand, I didn’t think ANA served the planet of Jakku… – Images, ANA.
The C-3PO jet joins the other ANA jets that have droids on them – including the R2-D2 jet (Boeing 787-9), the BB-8 jet (Boeing 777-300ER), and the R2/BB-8 jet (Boeing 767).

Of course, there’s a video to show off C-3PO Jet.

Now whilst the R2-D2, BB-8 and the combo jet look great – the C-3PO jet is falling a little flat to me. Why?
C-3PO is gold. The ANA jet is… yellow in my eyes rather than gold.
To quote Goldenrod himself… how rude…
The ANA C-3PO jet will enter service towards the end of 2017. The plane will operate inside Japan, operating routes from Tokyo to Osaka, Tokyo – Sapporo, Tokyo – Okinawa and Tokyo – Fukuoka.
There’s still plenty of droids in the Star Wars universe – and I’m sure Rouge One will give more. That’ll be an excuse to paint another plane up for ANA.
But at least it’s something different to see in the air – other than the whites, greys and blues of ANA.

I say ANA/Disney should consider either the Millenium Falcon or Amadala’s Naboo Royal Starship next, just to mix things up a little.
