It seems Air France is suffering again at the hands of its unions – with another strike on the way in.

This time, the cabin crews of the SNPNC and the Unsa-PNC are to take to the pickets – accounting for up to 45% of cabin crew.
The strike is due to take place between the 27th July and 2nd August – with routes operated by Air France to be hit.
According to Air France:
As soon as we will have a more accurate estimate of the number of employees on strike and the impact on our operations, our flight schedule will be adapted accordingly and published the day before your departure.
Our teams are mobilized to ensure the most of our long-haul schedule during this period. Disruption on flight from and to France and Europe may be significant. Flight cancellations are to be expected.
Furthermore, in order to ensure a maximum number of flights with a reduced crew composition, we may be forced to limit the number of passengers on board some of our flights which would mean we may not be able to honour all reservations.
Customers affected by the cancellation of their reservation will be informed the day before departure.
So to reiterate:
- Schedules to be updated on the day before departure.
- Most Long Haul services will operate as planned.
- French Domestic and European Services will be significantly hit
- Reduced crew flights may operate, forcing passenger number limits.
Air France Routes operated by HOP!, KLM or Delta are unaffected.
If you have Air France reservations, you can postpone your trip after the strike period 3 to 12 August 2016 inclusive. Changes are free for the same class of travel. Trip postponement is also available
If it was me, I’d be looking to change my plans as soon as possible. With unpredictable operations, you can bet that the flight you’re on is probably the one that’ll be hit by a strike….
