It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, at the gate on a sunny morning is a China Airlines Boeing 747-400 as it prepares for the long journey back to Taipei in Taiwan.
China Airlines of is the flag carrier of Republic of China (Taiwan) – not be confused with Air China – the flag carrier of China. (Geo-Polotics was never my strong point).
China Airlines operate a fleet of three passenger Boeing 747-400s (with a further five aircraft stored), and 18 of the freighter variant. For passenger aircraft, the airline is switching over to the Boeing 777-300ER for its long haul operations.
China Airlines also operate a fleet of Boeing 777-300s, Boeing 737-800s, Airbus A330-300s, A340-300s, with Airbus A350-900s on order.
More Airplane art next week
