For those of us who are still wallowing in the loss of the MBNA Diamond Club Credit Card, there’s one feature still to use before the lights go out.
And it’s not just making sure you get all your miles out of your Diamond Club Account.
I’m referring to the generous 10% off British Airways fares that Diamond Club Members can enjoy.
To access the discount:
- Go to www.diamondclub.org
- Click Log in
- Enter your Diamond Club Credentials and Login. Once you complete this, you’ll get a screen like this:
- Click the 10% off Banner on the top of your screen. This will launch a new window and take you to a screen like the one below. If it says MBNA Diamond Club in the top right corner – you’re in the right place
- Pop in the information and hit the Get flights button. In my example, I’ve put in flights to the Washington DC area. You’ll see a screen like this:
And there’s your discounts, all loaded and ready to rock and roll.
Remember the 10% off applies to the fare component of your ticket – not the taxes, surcharges, service fees, food improvement fee or any other fee British Airways wishes to stick on us as a passenger.
Also, this discount expires on the 30th November 2016, when Diamond Club will formally close down for the last time.
If you have bookings still that you need to make on BA.com, now is a good time to use them along with your Diamond Club discount.
Because 10% off a flight is never a bad thing in your humble authors opinion.
