Let’s face it: Amenities in Economy Class can vary between non-existent (paging American Airlines) to mediocre (Paging British Airways) to “better than nothing” (Paging Qatar Airways).
Delta is seeking to improve the Economy Class passengers lot, with the introduction of slippers between the USA and Japan.

The slippers will feature in Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin on all US to and from Japan from today.
Delta will feature these on routes from USA to Tokyo Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo Haneda.
These will be offered with Delta’s other features in Main Cabin and Comfort+, featuring an eye mask, a pair of earplugs and a full-size bottle of water following meal service.
Delta is focusing this change on Japanese customers, with Masaru Morimoto, MD of Japan and Micronesia area stating
“We are continuously focused on enhancing the experience for our customers, especially in the Main Cabin on Japan flights
We are listening to the local customers’ voices and trying to offer products and services that exceed their expectations. As no other airline offers slippers in the economy class on long-haul flights to the U.S., it underlines Delta’s commitment to Japanese customers.”
Now, whilst slippers are nice (and I hope you’ve worn fresh socks and put odour eats in you shoes), there’s one thing that can improve the in-flight experience even further.
And I’m talking about Ice Cream. Well, it seems that Delta is choosing its ice cream a little more carefully, with the airline to offer Häagen Dazs Ice cream with flights departing Japan.

Delta started serving Häagen-Dazs in July and will be offered on flights from Japan. Flights to Japan will have ice cream by Ben & Jerry’s or Magnum – depending on the departure point.
Passenger experience isn’t about all the big things some times – it’s the little details. And these are nice details for when you’re travelling between the USA and Japan.
