It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, taxing in the early morning is an American Airlines Airbus A321 (ex US Airways) at Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport as it prepares to head to the runway for its next departure.
American Airlines inherited a fleet of Airbus short-haul aircraft (including A321s) when it merged with US Airways.
Since then, the airline has added more Airbus A321 aircraft to its short-haul fleet, with 17 A321s dedicated to a three-class trans-continental services, and others beginning to replace US Domestic Boeing 757 operations on certain routes.
Another 27 of the type are due to be delivered through 2017.
American Airlines also hold order for 100 A321neo aircraft – with deliveries due to begin in 2019.
More Airplane art next week!

I ride in them a lot. Not a fan. Too may people. Ride rough in turbulence vs Boeing.
