Two interesting service changes popped up today from Air Canada, with their long haul services being increased during the summer of 2017.
First up is the resumption of service between Vancouver and Frankfurt, which will use a Boeing 787-8.

The planned operation Vancouver to Frankfurt service will be to fly daily for the Summer season.
The timetable looks a bit like this:
AC840 DEPART YVR 12:25 ARRIVE FRA 07:05+1 AC841 DEPART FRA 10:00 ARRIVE YVR 10:55 Commences 1st June 2017 Booked Equipment: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Data: Air Canada
Meanwhile, Air Canada’s low-cost arm – Rouge, will be adding an extra service between Vancouver and London Gatwick

These will operate from the 8th June 2017
AC1934 DEPART YVR 16:45 ARRIVE LGW 10:25+1 Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays AC1935 DEPART LGW 12:00 ARRIVE YVR 14:10 Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays Commences 8th June 2017 Booked Equipment: Boeing 767-300ER (Rouge configuration) Data: Air Canada
Air Canada Rouge will operate to two Canadian destinations from London Gatwick at this point – Vancouver and Toronto.
The service to Frankfurt allows for a lot of onwards connections with Lufthansa and its member airlines, whilst the Gatwick service allows Air Canada to target the value consumer.
For those who prefer a full-fat product, Air Canada continues its mainline operations from Heathrow to Vancouver Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays and Toronto.
Choice is important in the flying world, and Air Canada is providing this with their new services.
