EVA Air continues its ties with Sanrio… the home of Hello Kitty and friends. For EVA Air’s next trick, please welcome Gudetama to the air.
Who is Gudetama? It’s The Lazy Egg. Seriously. To quote Sanrio:
Eggs are yummy… boiled, baked or raw. There are many ways to make an egg, but eggs are so lazy (gude gude in Japanese). Look closely and you will see the eggs that you eat lack spunk.
So – Lazy eggs are now a thing. Here’s a picture.

What can we deduce from this? Well this Sanrio family plane will be an Airbus A321 with Sharklets.
It seems that Gudetama is busy packing for a holiday this depiction, with him packing his bags and his bacon blanket.
Gudetama will be flying initially on the Taipei – Tokyo route on flight pair BR196/BR195, and will be themed inside – and as this is a Sanrio branded flight – expect all the usual trimmings.

And when I say all the trimmings…. I mean all the trimmings.
That lazy egg seems far too happy – Images, EVA Air.
Gudetama is new to the Sanrio family – joining in 2013. It’s had plenty of merchandise since it’s been around… so seeing it on a plane isn’t too surprising.
