Whilst British Airways seems hell bent on cutting back in its lower cabins, for its FIRST class passengers – there’s a new treat: British Airways Gin.

The Gin will be avalible on one place in the entire British Airways network: The bar of the Concorde Room Bar at Heathrow Terminal 5.
The Gin has been blended for the airline by Cambridge Distillery – a “gin tailor”. It features juniper, basil rosemary and thyme – which are grown in the distillery gardens in Cambridge.
British Airways customers seem to like a Gin and Tonic – they’ve served over 3 million of them each year (although how that will change when shorthaul catering becomes chargeable is another matter).
William Lowe, master distiller and owner of the Cambridge Distillery, said:
“British Airways customers deserve the best, so we are thrilled to offer those flying in First this amazing new British Airways Gin, served exclusively from the Concorde Room.
“We take enormous care making our gins. For British Airways we collected the basil, rosemary and thyme from our very own gardens and distilled them separately to ensure the temperature of distillation of each botanical was just right, then carefully blended them to make British Airways Gin.
“We label each bottle with the British Airways Speedmarque and wax seal them by hand here in Cambridge to create a truly unique product.”
For those of you who enjoy more than an odd Gin and Tonic, and are flying British Airways FIRST or have Concorde Room access.
For the rest of us, there are a few different gins lurking around in the Galleries Club/Galleries First and Terraces Lounges… and whatever is loaded on the trolley that day.
