For those who keep track of Qatar Airways route map, it seems the airline is adding more destinations to its network.

Eight more routes are joining network including:
- Camberra, Australia
- Dublin, Ireland
- Las Vegas, United States of America
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Santiago, Chile
- Medan, Kualanamu International Airport – Indonesia
- Tabuk, Saudi Arabia
- Yanbu Saudi Arabia
These destinations will join the following who are due to join the Qatar Airways network in 2017
- Auckland, New Zealand
- Sarajevo, Bosnia
- Skopje, Macedonia
- Libreville, Gabon
- Nice, France
- Chiang Mai, Indonesia
- Douala, Cameroon.
I could quote you the rest of the PR, but its usual fluff of young aircraft, environmental benefits and network… and we all know that crack well.
What is important is that the network is expanding. For those in Europe, Dublin could be a very good place to start long haul trips on Qatar Airways flights.
Why? When the airline enters the market, it goes it in to disrupt… and that means low fares.
Expect some reasonable fares to come up very quickly on these new routes…
And when there are timetables, I’ll be reporting on them…
