Time for another snapshot – this time featuring something I’ve been teasing about since Sunday – Finnair A350 Business Class operating on a short-haul route.
Boarding
Boarding was from the Gate 32 for the run to Heathrow
The plane
It’s an Airbus A350-900. Why do you think I was up at 4am in the morning Tallinn time? Not for love you know.
The Cabin
It’s cool, calm… and so Scandinavian design, it would make an Ikea designer weep in happiness. Seating was spread 1-2-1 in the business class, with a section in the forward cabin, and a section behind the main boarding door.
Mood lighting is also the order of the day
The Seat
The seat used in the business class section of the A350 is a Zodiac Cirrus 3. Sadly, I was more interested in spending time in it, than taking pictures of it. I can confirm the seat went flat, went relaxed… and every place in-between.
IFE
IFE was provided with a Panasonic IFE system. Admittedly, I didn’t test it much, mainly as I found the first option best – the tailcam.
Headphones were supplied for the short run – although this is another discussion point for another day.
WiFi
Yes, there was WiFi provided free of charge for once device on the plane. Here’s the megabits. And yes, there were actual megabits aboard this Finnair A350. Connectivity is provided by Panasonic.
Connecting…
Another discussion for another day.
Food and Beverages
Same breakfast as I had on the way out in Finnair EuroBusiness…
- Hot Item: Spinach and Cheese omelette, potato bits, tomato side and a cheese & spinach thing.
- Cold item: Fresh Melon
- Bread/Croissant was offered, but refused.
Drinks were offered. Bubbles were taken (Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve) in the Ultima Thule glasses, along with some water and orange juice.
The Outside Views
What can say of the views outside of the Finnair A350? Stunning.
The full trip report will be coming very soon!
