I trailed this last week, but it seems Qatar Airways has set a date for its Dublin route.
And that date is 12th June 2017.

Qatar Airways will be operating to the Irish capital from the 12 June 2017, with a daily service, with varied timings.

Qatar Airways will deploy a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the route. These are configured with:
- 22 Business Class seats configured with a 1–2–1 seat formation
- 232 Economy Class seats configured with a 3–3–3 seat formation
- Total 254 seats.
I’ve been aboard Qatar Airways Boeing 787. Whilst tight in the back (the joy of airlines stuffing a 3-3-3 formation in the back of the plane), it’s acceptable. Have a look at my trip report here.
The planes have personal in-flight screens… and L band WiFi (which is slow, and expensive).
Timings seem to be good for those wishing to connect across the Qatar Airways network.
Qatar Airways will be last of the big Middle Eastern Three to join the party at Dublin Airport. Ethiad arrived first, with Emirates joining in 2012.
The use of a 787 is a good start for Qatar Airways – as it tends to use this aircraft before deploying larger planes on a route.
For travellers, I’d keep a very close eye on pricing once the route launches. Qatar Airways prices its fares to compete when they launch a route… and competitors tend to respond, leading to a minor little fare ware.
This is one to watch when the tickets go on sale
