In the continual decline of the joke of the airline that is British Airways, the airline will now charge for… wait for it… hot water.

In the continual battle against its customer, Business Traveller reports that if you want hot water in flight (that’s without coffee, tea or other beverage), you’ll need to pay up.
This is in line with British Airways moving to a Buy-on-Board model on short-medium haul segments.
I honestly give up with British Airways here. Compared with its competitors on short haul flights in Economy Class:
- British Airways: Only Portable Water.
- Iberia: Buy-on-Board for flights under 4 1/2 hours
- Finnair: Tea, Coffee, Blueberry Juice free of charge, with Buy on Board
- Lufthansa: Full Bar with snack
- Air-France/KLM: Full Bar with snack
- American Airlines: Non-alcoholic Drinks Complimentary
- United Airlines: Non-alcoholic Drinks Complimentary
- Delta Air Lines: Non-alcoholic Drinks Complimentary
Need I go on?
Lets be honest, To Fly, To Serve is a distant memory. To Pay, To Fly is the order of the day. And thus Passenger experience drops further down the stone as the race to the bottom takes a new turn.
Even for a mug of hot water.
