Trouble will be hitting from 15:00GMT onward at Heathrow, with other airports expected to be affected (including Gatwick, London City and Stansted).
With Heathrow expecting to be trouble, British Airways is allowing re-bookings on short-haul services between today and tomorrow (15:00 11th January through to 23:59 12th January) through to Sunday 15th January. If you are expecting to fly to today, and change it for tomorrow, head over to Manage My Booking as soon as possible.
Virgin Atlantic are also allowing re-booking on their services. Tickets due to fly today can re-booked until the 14th January.
Other airlines such as KLM, Aer Lingus and Lufthansa are also proactively cancelling short-haul flights to Heathrow.
If you are planning to turn up at Heathrow, ensure your flight is operating and you have a valid ticket for travel. If it’s a short-haul flight – expect distruption.
EasyJet are planning to operate a full service currently from Gatwick, however are taking note.
It goes without saying that roads and rail will be a mess this evening too. Take care and allow plenty of time to get out of London tonight.
You’re going to need it.
