It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week on final approach to Chicago O’Hare on a sunny autumn day, is an American Airlines Airbus A321, with the undercarriage deployed.
American Airlines operate a fleet of 203 Airbus A321s in its US Domestic and Medium haul operations, used for both premium services and normal services in the American Airlines network.
This Airbus A321 – N156UW – was originally delivered to US Airways, and was repainted when the two airlines merged. It was delivered in 2013 – making it one of the younger planes in the American Airlines Airbus A321 fleet. It is powered by a pair of CFM-56 engines and used across the US Domestic network.
