It seems there’s another Tube Strike if you’re going through London today (22nd February) affecting the Central Line and Waterloo and City Line.
London Underground Central Line Train at Debden (good luck getting a train here today) – Image, Economy Class and Beyond.
The strike this time affects the Central Line and Waterloo and City Line.
The breakdown of what’s happening is:
Central Line
- There will be no service on the Central Line east of Leytonstone all day
- Between 05:30 and 07:00 no services between White City and Leytonstone (the main underground section through London)
- From 07:00 to 23:00 a very limited Central line service will operate
- 07:00 to 10:00 – Every 5 minutes between North Acton and Leytonstone, Every 10 minutes west of North Acton.
- 10:00 to 16:00 Every 10 minutes between North Acton and Leytonstone, Every 20 minutes west of North Acton.
- 16:00 to 19:00 – Every 5 minutes between North Acton and Leytonstone, Every 10 minutes west of North Acton.
- 19:00 to 23:00 – Every 10 minutes between North Acton and Leytonstone, Every 20 minutes west of North Acton.
- 23:00 – Service closes.
Waterloo and City Line
- There will be no services at all on the Waterloo and City Line all day.
There are explanations on why there’s a strike at the London Evening Standard and BBC News – but the upshoot is that if you’re planning to move around London today, don’t rely on the Central Line or Waterloo and City to get you to your destination.
And if you do rely on these lines, Transport for London has advice for you for alternatives.
