One of the things I’ve yet to experience is travelling with an infant, and the stresses that could cause. Well, Finnair are going to make lives a little easier with the introduction of hand towels aboard their long haul flights according to The Moomin Blog (yes, there is such a thing. Let’s all live and deal with it).
The occasion? To celebrate Finland’s 100th century of independence, families flying with infants will gate a Moomin character towel by Finlayson.
They’ll feature the classing Moomintroll, Moominmamma and of course the mischievous Little My, packaged in delightful boxes

These will be loaded aboard Finnair flights from May onwards.
If you’re travelling without an infant however, you don’t need to feel left out when they don’t give you a towel – as Finnair will be selling them via their online shop (finnairshop.com) for delivery on your Finnair flight. Finnair will be selling them on flights to and from Japan too.
Don’t want to fly Finnair (and with a possibility of riding an A350 between London and Helsinki, I’d ask why….) Well the Moomin shops in Helsinki will be selling them too as a collectible set of three.
Passenger Experience is about many things – but to me it’s always been about how to make the journey easier and more comfortable for those who are flying – and the details to make that happen.
Little hand towels wipe a babies face with an interesting character on it may not seem like much – but sometimes, the smallest things to make a flight comfortable can make them the most memorable.
