Let’s turn our attention back to the Airbus A350 family, and to Delta Air Lines, who are waiting for their first plane.

The plane itself hasn’t been painted yet – although it doesn’t take a close examination this will be a Delta aircraft – look at those winglets with the Delta widget on the side.
The plane is conducting two months of flight testing, the completion of the paint job and outfitting the cabin.
The plane will feature the new Delta One Suite Business cabin (featuring a customised Thompson Vantage XL seat), with sliding privacy doors. It will feature the new Premium Economy cabin – Delta Premium Select” on the plane too.
Configuration has been fixed at :
- 32 Delta One Suites (Business Class)
- 48 Premium Economy Seats
- 226 Economy Class seats
For those who need to be connected in the air – these planes will also feature Gogo’s 2Ku High-Speed WiFi service.

Delivery of the aircraft is due in “mid-summer” according to Delta.
Of course, with the Airbus A350 entering service, these will replace older aircraft – namely – the Boeing 747 fleet that is seeing its twlight days in Delta operations, with five A350s entering service this year.
