Airplane Art – Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300ER landing at Manchester

25/06/2017 by Kevincm

It’s Sunday again, and it’s time to step back in time to 2007 for this week’s airplane art.

This week, we have a Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300ER landing at Manchester Airport in “Colours in Motion” livery (sometimes known as Deltaflot in the more than passing resemblance to Aeroflot’s colour scheme)

Delta Air Lines operate a fleet of 58 Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, operating across the Delta network.. and thankfully out of this colour scheme.

So why did I choose this image?

Well it ties into this blog nicely as this image was the first featured image as “Airplane Art” in May 2009.

Thankfully, a little more modern processing gives a lot more image – even from a Digital Raw file from a Canon 20D (when one of those was my primary camera).

More airplane art next week.

Meanwhile, we’ve arrived at that point. When I click this, Post #4999 will have published… It’s almost time for a retrospective….

Wow that looks really long for a 767-300. Are you sure its not a 767-400?

I too believe it is a 767-400. As Sanjeev mentions, this certainly looks longer than a -300. Also, the 767-400 has the distinctive raked wingtips which most of the 777 family has (the 767-300 series does not have raked wingtips).

    Beautiful picture.

Beautiful photo of a 767-400ER. The raked wingtips are one of the easiest ways to identify the 764 versus the 763. I was a fan of the Colours in Motion livery and thank you for giving the fans another look.
