British Airways to improve its Passenger Experience, with a tie up with The White Company

05/07/2017 by Kevincm

Whilst there may be a strike on, British Airways have announced a tie-up with The White Company to help its customers get more sleep on the plane.

The White Company will be providing a number of amenities for those travelling in Club World including:

  • A new day cushion that will double up as lumbar support
  • New bedding including a new pillowcase, a soft woven blanket with satin trim, a specially developed luxury duvet, and a  padded mattress cover giving an extra layer of comfort.
  • New Club World Amenity Kits by The White Company and contain products from the retailer’s ‘Restore & Relax Spa Collection
  • New sleep masks

Let’s look at the press images.

Alex Cruz, British Airways’ chairman and CEO, states:

“Our investment in Club World has started and we’re kicking off by helping our customers sleep even better in the skies. Partnering with The White Company, another quintessentially British brand renowned for quality and style, is the first step in a multi-million pound investment for our premium customers.”

Chrissie Rucker MBE, founder of The White Company, on the partnership states:

“We are passionate about creating the best night’s sleep for all our customers and I’m truly delighted to now be working with British Airways to ‘sleep well in the sky’. I hope you love the result as much as we do.”

It’s welcoming to see British Airways update their on-board amenities as others have raced to improve theirs (one only needs look as far as United and it’s Polaris soft product as well as American Airlines refreshing their Amenity kits).

Least of all the BA Shoe bag has seen better days…

It’s time for a better kit isn’t it?

It’s a step forward.

Now if they could improve the actual Club World seats, that would be grand….
