United Airlines is re-introducing a route I flew some time ago, with Denver to London Heathrow to gain a direct operation.

- 36 United Polaris business class seats
- 70 Economy Plus seats
- 113 seats in United Economy
The re-introduction of Denver to Heathrow will allow easy connections to 80 cities at Denver
Steve Jaquith, vice president of United Airlines Denver hub states
“For the last 80 years, United has played an integral role in serving the Denver region and helping Denver International become an essential hub connecting business and leisure travelers to destinations around the globe,
Our new service to London will provide more customers with convenient one-stop opportunities from markets that are served only through Denver, and we’re excited to bring this new service to the Mile High City.”
United Airlines previously operated the route, between 2008 and 2010. It seems there’s demand again for this route and a direct connection between the mile high city and London.
In terms of competition, British Airways operates a three-class service to Denver, whilst additional competition will be coming from Norwegian Air Shuttle who are due to commence services in September 2017.
It’s welcome to see United re-establish a transatlantic link from Denver. Hopefully, the forward bookings will allow the airline to expand the operation in the future.

Something better than only going to points in Germany 🙂 Now if they can upgrade a couple lounges in Denver.
