It’s peak bucket and spade season in the UK season – with the schools out on summer holiday. And that means families and children will be travelling in the air as they jet off to other places in the world.
Thankfully, Virgin Atlantic have produced a little video to help if you are travelling with children over the summer.
Straight off the bat, they admit it can be tough..
Especially when it’s a 13 hour flight.
And they acknowledge the looks customers get….
The video goes on to explain about the kids packs…
… food options (which need to be booked 48 hours beforehand)
Editors note. Can we have dinosaur pasta as a normal economy class meal please? It can’t be any worse than some of the food I’ve had in the air…
There’s also a mention of the In-flight entertainment system – with a dedicated channel for kids.
Just 47 times? Mere amateur ;).
Virgin Atlantic reminds you that you’re not alone too – and also has some helpful tips at http://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/travel-information/special-flight-requirements/flying-with-children.html to help you through the summer.
Just remember, your flight might be long. A useful measure is here…
35 “are we there yets” into 13 hours works out… as 2.69/hour.
Just so you know.
Passenger experience is an important thing at all levels – and all ages. With an airline ensuring that all ages have something to keep them occupied aboard a plane, as well catering to requirement, it can make the journey a little easier.
