For those of you who took advantage of the cheap British Airways fare to Tallinn, and have segments still to take – you might want to get out and explore the city of Tallinn.
In the past this has involved either a Taxi, a Uber or the Bus for €2. Well, there’s a new option that started on the 1st September – a tram!

Tram route number 4 has been extended which will serve the airport to the city and vice versa.
The stop is located next to the terminal, with a glass gallery connection to open in October (and it’ll be good timing, as the weather will start to cool considerably at that point).
It will take 15-17 minutes to cover the route between the Tallinn Airport and the City Centre. This will cost the same as the bus – €2 to cover the distance (if you’re a registered Tallinn resident – it’s free under your local government’s travel scheme).
There’s a reasonable timetable at the Tallinn public transport site with up to 7 trams an hour at peak. There’s also early morning services as well – meaning you’re not held ransom to taxi companies if you have an early flight.
Easy and accessible public transport connections are essential in making the “last mile” of any journey work – especially when coming off a plane.
With this new tram link, Tallinn becomes at lot more accessible for any visitor to the city.
