So we all know about Mars Bar gate yesterday. However, on my domestic shuttle flight – there’s a reminder why I fly British Airways.
And it isn’t because of the paid catering service. It’s the crew
Multiple times in the past I have stated that crew make or break a flight, with excellent crew making a flight more memorable than anything else.
And that’s what I got between Manchester and London on BA1385 yesterday.
I got a crew member on the exit row who was:
- Genuinely smiling
- Helping passengers at any level
- Security conscious
- Engaging with all passengers
- … and just that hint of being playful too.
The crews as a team were excellent, pulling together and working together to make sure customers were comfortable for the short flight between Manchester and London Heathrow.
I’m not calling out crew names in public – but I did something I haven’t done in months – sent a ba.com/welldone to the crew member.
That’s how much an impression the crew member left on me
Crews like that are hard to find as anything – so when I get one – even if it’s for 45 minutes or so – it makes flying a pleasure.
See – flying British Airways sometimes isn’t filled with pain all the time.
