Good afternoon from Economy Class and Beyond towers, where currently – my best friend in the world is this.
Oh iStorage DiskAssur. Let me count the ways I hate thee.
Things are a little more than hectic here, as I’m buried knee-deep in a project at the moment that is taking away a lot of my time – to the point where I’m working a stupid amount of hours in the day, and it’s dragging late into the night.
And I mean late.
Those of you who work in the IT fields will groan when I say the following words:
- Data Migrations with a clapped out FTP Server
- Active Directory being its usual fun self
- Folder Permissions
So what does that mean to the blog?
- We’re down to one article a day if possible. Bottom line is that time isn’t my friend right now, and with me fighting the above, posts sometimes don’t happen – however well-meaning they are meant to be published
- The trip report writing is currently suspended. To write trip reports takes a lot of time and I like to write my reports as best as I can. Writing something that is half baked (as well as containing poor grammar) isn’t my style (well, let’s ignore the bad grammar – more the half-baked side)
I’m aiming to get some sense of normality back in a couple of weeks’ time – so please bear with me whilst I fight Robust Copy and a server that hasn’t got enough space on it….
And I hate late nights in the office. But that’s a given.

Chin up! Most IT careers – in my experience – end in early retirement with a big smile of relief 😉
Don’t worry about impatient readers – we’ll just have to wait…
