It’s Sunday again, and it’s time for the last Airplane Art of the year.
This week, we have members of British Airways Boeing 747-400 fleet parked at Terminal 5 in the early morning as they arrive in from the long haul flights the airline assigns them to.
British Airways operate the largest fleet of passenger Boeing 747-400s in the world, with currently 36 active frames in the fleet.
The plane in the foreground – G-BNLN joined the fleet in July 1990, and flies for the airline on long haul routes, connecting Heathrow to the world.
The Boeing 747-400 fleet are supported by Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9 and the Airbus A380 with the long haul operations out of the Heathrow hub.
More airplane art next week!
