The new service will be operated as a non-stop service between Dubai and Newark, based on the following timetable:
EK223 DEPART DXB 03:00 ARRIVE EWR 09:00 EK224 DEPART EWR 11:50 ARRIVE DXB 08:20+1 Commences 1st June 2018 Booked Equipment: Emirates Three-Class Boeing 777-300ER Data: Emirates
The direct service will provide a morning arrival into the USA, and will be in addition to the one-stop service which operates via Athens.
Emirates will operate the service with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, configured with
8 First Class suites
42 Business Class Seats
306 in Economy Class,
The juggling of the operation will mean that JFK operation will be reduced to three flights a day operation, with EK207/EK208 being suspended on 1st June. The airline will offer two direct flights a day between Dubai and JFK, and a third that has a stop for passengers in Milan.
It’s not uncommon for carriers to re-balance their network and give other options to customers. There are still five flights a day between Dubai and New York Area.
Depending where you are in area, the new flight may make very good sense – it’s timing allow for some good connections across the Emirates network too.
