Lufthansa’s new colour scheme leaked – Bye bye Yellow, Hello Blue

01/02/2018 by Kevincm

Well it seems the Internet leaks are pushing Lufthansa to reveal their new paint scheme earlier than planned

Leaks started appearing on Twitter this morning – with some tweets coming in showing the new paint-work.

It seems the Yellow crane will be around for some time, with 330 aircraft taking around 8 years to repaint.

It’s goodbye to the yellow, and hello to the blue it seems

Even Lufthansa is pushed into revealing the new scheme with a video being released.

My first impressions:

I’m going to miss the yellow – it’s been part of the Lufthansa scheme as long as I’ve known the airline (one of my earliest memories is wandering around FRA during an Air India stopover on the way to London, with both Condor’s yellow and blue tails… and Lufthansa blue and yellow tails).

And it looks… bland in the renders and images. Nothing to excite or retain a memory of.

How it will look in the real world will be the big question – we’ll find that in the release next week

However, the new blue colour scheme reminds me of another airline – one that has taken to the air recently – Joon.

It’s bland. Heck – colour the crane. But this is just *boring*
