It’s Sunday again, and it’s time for some more airplane art.
This week on final approach to Chicago O’Hare International Airport is a Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 as it concludes the long trip from Germany to the Midwest of the USA – just as the sun is a bit golden as the plane flies over Lowes Hotel in Rosemont.
Lufthansa operate an active fleet of 14 Airbus A340-600 aircraft, along the smaller A340-300. The A340-600s are being partially replaced by the Airbus A350 – which has been introduced at its Munich hub.
These planes operate in a four class configuration, offering First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
The aircraft are used in the Lufthansa long haul fleet, supporting the Airbus A330-300s, A350s, A380s and Boeing 747-400s and 747-800s which ply their way from Germany, and connecting the world.
More Airplane art next week.
