It seems that Joon – the airline in an airline that some refer to as a rooftop bar, but masquerades as a lower cost version of Air France has found anohter location to operate long haul services to – and it will be Mumbai
Joon will take over the route from Air France on the 18th June 2018, operating a daily service between Paris and Mumbai.
Also includes Mumbai – the new Joon network map – Image, Joon.
Planned operation as per Air France is
AF218 DEPART CDG 11:40 ARRIVE BOM 00:05+1 AF217 DEPART BOM 01:55 ARRIVE CDG 08:05 Commences 18th June 2018 Booked Equipment: Airbus A340-300 Data: Joon
Joon will operate the flight as a three-class service with Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class. The planes will be fitted IFE screens as well as content to devices via its YouJoon platform.
For those who want the full rooftop bar experience, you can also rent Allosky virtual reality glasses for use on board.
Food will be offered in all classes, with two service rounds offered in all classes. Snacks will also be offered for sale too in Premium Economy and Economy Class.
Flying Blue customers can earn and redeem miles on the route. Those flying in Business Class, or have Flying Blue Gold or Platinum can utilise Air France lounges and enjoy SkyPriority access at security checks, check-in, boarding and priority baggage drop-off.
Well, it’s a new destination to sashy down to the roof top bar.. and if we’re honest – not a lot of difference from the mainline Air France, other than trying to reduce a cost.
Where Joon goes next will be interesting – and may give an insight to Air Frances perception of high and low value…
