Austrian Airlines has been busy recently adding Premium Economy to its planes. Well, there is good news for the traveller who likes a bit of certainty – as the entire Austrian Airlines long haul fleet have now got Premium Economy seating installed.

Currently all 11 aircraft have been re-fitted with the new seats. A twelfth long haul aircraft is due to join the fleet in Spring, with the class of service seat installed.
The airline fitted 228 Premium Economy Seats across its long haul fleet – made up of Boeing 767-300ER and Boeing 777-200ER aircraftt

The seat which has been selected by Lufthansa Group is by ZIM is akin to the ZIM-PC01 seat
The seat is pitched to 97cm/38 inches, with footrests installed. The central armrest with fold-out table between the seats and a personal, broad armrest for every passenger enables greater privacy and more room on the side.
Each seat is also fitted with its own power outlet and USB port, and 12″ In-flight entertainment screen.
Consistency of product I love in an aircraft – it allows a customer to select a seat knowing what amenities and what seat they are to expect – even if the seat is a little average.
With a constant product across the fleet, it makes a travel decision a little easier, rather than facing a possible seat lottery
