It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
The week, we have a Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i climbing out of Chicago O’Hare International as it heads back to its home base of Frankfurt-am-Main International.
Lufthansa operate a fleet of 19 Boeing 747-8i aircraft in their long haul fleet – with this plane – D-ABYG – “Baden-Württemberg” shown above.
The 19 strong Boeing 747-8i fleet is supported by the venerable Boeing 747-400, the double decker Airbus A380, and the single decker A330, A340 and A350 fleets. These aircraft operate primarily on the Lufthansa long haul/intercontinental network, connecting the German hubs of Frankfurt and Munich to the world.
These planes operate in a four-class configuration, with First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class seating.

Beautiful! Great to see that there will be a 747 type flying for years to come!
