From the floor of Aircraft Interiors Expo, AVIO Interiors are typing to push an ultra-low-cost seating product.
And it’s… different. Rather than me rattle on – let’s look at the AVIO Skyrider 2.0
Well. What can I say to this? According to AVIO interiors it offers:
- 20% extra seats on a plane at 23″
- 50% less weight
And well. If you think some of the seats you’ve seen are bare bones… well – look below.
Those of you who think today’s planes are crammed – here’s a proposed seat plan from AVIO Interiors.

Whilst innovation is to be noted, it does raise questions of:
- Accessibility
- What passengers will actually be able to sit in it?
- Children under an age won’t fit
- Elderly people.
This remains a concept – and in a lot of ways – whilst it might be a 2.0 seat… I hope this isn’t one concept that makes it to the skies.
But would you ride on it?
