AIX18: China Southern signs for all Recaro Seating on their A350 aircraft

12/04/2018 by Kevincm

Breaking late into the event at Aircraft Interiors Expo is an announcement China Southern Airlines will use Recaro seating throughout the Cabin for its upcoming Airbus A350.

China Southern will use:

  • The CL6710 (Business Class Seat) – Currently used by El-Al, to be launched by TAP on the A330, and now by China Southern on the A350
  • The PL3530 (Premium Economy) – To be used on the British Airways World Traveller Plus re-fit
  • The CL3710 (Economy) – As used by KLM and many other airlines.

Here’s some pictures of the seat from the show:

On the release, Dr. Mark Hiller, Chief Executive Officer and Shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating stated

We are delighted and proud that the entire cabin of China Southern’s new A350-900 aircraft will be equipped with our seats. This order represents a milestone in our long-term collaboration,”

Seat weights are a key feature – with the Business Class seat at 60kg, the Economy Seat at a mere 12kg per seat – as usual, decreasing the fuel cost to lift these seats into the air.

These will fly when China Southern recive their first Airbus A350.
