For those who use Iberia Plus (either as their primary frequent flyer programme or as a back-up programme to access some of the cheaper redemptions they offer), the airline is making a generous offer – Double Avios on bookings.
The offer runs from 30th April to 15th May 2018 for the Double Avois on Iberia Group bookings. More importantly, the office is valid in all classes of travel.
There are some important things to note with the offer:
- You’ll need to book on the Iberia site to take advantage of the double avios promotion.
- The offer runs until 15th May 2018
- You have until 31st December 2018 to fly to claim the Double Avios
- You can get Double Avios on Iberia Group Flights. This includes Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nordstrum
- You cannot get Double Avios on codeshare flights offered for sale (eg flights with an IB Code, and operated by another airlines – such as British Airways)
If you’re more interested in Avois (redeemable points) instead of Tier Points (status points) on British Airways, this could be a good way to boost your Avois balance. Those who use Iberia Plus as their primary programme will attract the usual status points in earning (as well as enjoy Double Avios)
If you want to transfer the Avios from Iberia plus to BA Executive Club, note that you’ll need an Iberia Plus account that has been open for 90 days, with matching personal details.
It’s a very decent promotion for those who need extra Avios, and if your travel patterns fall into the airline’s network.
