With improving results, Lufthansa Group has been on a little spending spree today, adding additional aircraft to its fleet.
So what’s being added?

- Swiss International Air Lines are to gain two extra Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for its long haul fleet. The new 777’s are being added for growth purposes and due to enter service in 2020.
- Lufthansa Cargo are to get two Boeing 777F aircraft to replace existing McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft
- Lufthansa Group to gain an up to 12 extra Airbus A320 family aircraft, with up to six of these being A320ceo (current engine option) verses A320neo (new engine option) depending on delays on A320neo aircraft. The A320 family aircraft will be used to replace older aircraft in the fleet. These are option conversions from existing orders.
Whilst not the largest order on record, managed growth, rather than mass fleet replacements is never a bad thing to see.
