Emirates to offer Ice Cream when departing or transiting Dubai International Airport

18/06/2018 by Kevincm

There are some things in life that can make anyone smile. If you’re not lacto-intollerant – one of those things is ice cream.

And if you’re transiting Dubai International Airport via Terminal 3 – Emriates are offering complimentary ice cream to its customers who are departing or transiting the airport.

Ice cream will be offered from the airline branded ice cream carts dotted around the terminal.

So the flavours? Something for everyone, including sorbets for those who want a dairy-free alternative:

  • Chocolate
  • Vanilla
  • Date & Arabic Coffee
  • Mango Sorbet
  • Lemon Sorbet

The treats will be served during the Emirates peak departure banks every day from:

  • 00:00 and 03:00 (12am and 3am)
  • 12:30 and 14:30
  • 18:00 and 21:00

The ice cream carts will be in the terminal from the 15th June to 31st August. The treats is also available in the Emirates lounges, as well as in the premium classes between Dubai and Europe.

Over the period, Emirates will giving away over two million cups of ice cream over three months.

Passenger Experience comes in many forms – and the form of in a cup of ice cream is a welcome thing. Providing you’re not in a rush when transiting Dubai International (and with some of the connections at Dubai when you need to run for flights – that’s entirely possible at Dubai), a tub of a cold treat may just be the thing that’s needed to beat the warm of Dubai… and transiting the airport.
