Pre-boarding and Boarding.

Check in is at Terminal E of Boston Airport. For those in a rush, the baggage deadline is one hour before departure.

The plane

It’s a Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i (the passenger version of the Boeing 747-8), configured in a four class configuration.

The seat

The seat was in the exit row/emergency escape row of the Boeing 747-8i. Again, this is a variant of the ZIM Premium Economy Seat used on the Airbus A350, with different locations for outlets.

In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity

In-flight Entertainment is offered by a Panasonic ex3 system, which also has onward connectivity to personal hardware via Bluetooth (if you can ever get the right app). Oddly, there was more content loaded on this system than aboard the A350…

This… we need to talk about.

Connectivity was provided by Panasonic and T-Mobile. I didn’t take advantage of it on this flight.
