The airline is putting on its super-sized plane to add additional capacity, whilst the airline reduces its operational frequency to 12 flights a week to Dubai.
According to Airlineroute, the A380 will operated for a limited period between 16th April 2109 and 4th May 2019.
The timetable is as follows:
BA107 DEPART LHR 12:55 ARRIVE DXB 23:05 Airbus A380, Operates Daily BA105 DEPART LHR 22:25 ARRIVE DXB 08:25+1 Boeing 777-200, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays BA106 DEPART DXB 01:30 ARRIVE LHR 06:15 Airbus A380, Operates Daily BA104 DEPART DXB 1:315 ARRIVE LHR 18:00 Boeing 777-200, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays Operates 16th April 2109 and 4th May 2019. With the major works at Dubai International Airport, other carriers are responding with Emirates cutting 28% of its operations according to Reuters, with work being carried out on the Southern Parallel runway.
Expect other airlines to react as timetables are loaded, if the works are anything like the last set of closures in 2014 (which made the docudrama of Ultimate Airport: Dubai second season).
The time of the closure has been deemed by the airport to be the seasonal lull. Other airlines will head off to Dubai World Central during the works.
Expect some fun ahead and an answer if you can’t book a particular flight..
