As some of you might be aware, Dubai International Airport is closing on of its runways in the low season next year for resurfacing work. flydubai will be moving some of its services to Dubai World Central (DWC) during the works.
39 routes in total will move, with 10 routes being dual-hub based. The remainder of the flydubai network will continue to operate from Dubai International.

The airline will move the following over to Dubai World Central. Destinations marked with a * will operate from both Dubai International and DWC. Check when you book.

The routes will operate from between 16 April 2019 and 30 May 2019. Following completion of the works, flights will move back to Dubai International.
On the route move, flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer, Ghaith Al Ghaith, states
“As we saw in 2014, runway enhancement programmes continue to support the long term vision for aviation in the UAE. With flydubai flights operating to select destinations from DWC, we aim to not only support this vision but to provide our passengers with as much choice as possible to travel across our network with minimum disruption.”
More information will be released closer to the time, however – if your connections at Dubai International require an onward hop with flyduabi, you will need to check before you travel – and ensure you check which airport your flight is going from…
