Ryanair to shutter website for upgrades (7th November)

07/11/2018 by Kevincm

For those travelling with Ryanair in the next 24-48 hours, there is a major bit of work going on with their site and services. As a result, the airline is shuttering their site for 12 hours for technical updates to their Reservation Systems

Ryanair down

Reservation Systems will be down between 17:00GMT on the 7th November to 05:00GMT on the 8th November.

If you are planning to travel on these dates  check in online now and print your boarding passes

Services that will be down include:

  • Online check-in
  • New Bookings
  • Name Changes;/Flight Changes
  • Reviewing Existing bookings

This applies to the website and their App.

The airline has been attempting to contact customers to ensure they check in ,but if you haven’t already – do it now. Those of us who love to constantly check tickets will have to keep off the Ryanair app/site for a while until the upgrade works are done.

It’s an inconvenience for some – and there will be some who forget to do this. So, if you are travelling in the next 48 hours – for your own peace of mind, carry out the transactions you need on their site.

Before they shutter it for 12 hours…

I’m glad I checked in online yesterday and printed our boarding cards. I wonder how many people will have forgotten or will leave it until the last minute and find themselves forking out to check in at the airport!
